Delaware Innovation Space

Delaware Innovation Space (DISI)

We conduct activities through the Delaware Innovation Space (DISI), a leading innovation ecosystem supporting science and technology companies. This environment gives us access to research infrastructure, industry networks and collaborative opportunities that support the development of our advanced healthcare technologies.

The Innovation Space is “the home for science startups”: a non-profit founded in 2017 by the State of Delaware, DuPont and the University of Delaware, located at DuPont’s Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware. It fuels the growth of science-based startups in life sciences, clean technology and advanced materials through best-in-class labs and customized support.

LORAI Health LLC

Supports the company’s research and business activities within the United States, providing access to scientific expertise, innovation infrastructure and strategic partnerships that advance both our technology platforms and our long-term growth objectives.

Gen-2 platform R&D at DISI

Our US research and development takes place at the Delaware Innovation Space and is focused on the Gen-2 transdermal platform: next-generation approaches to delivery with a focus on patient experience, treatment continuity and future manufacturing capability.

How we work

Research programs are conducted in collaboration with scientific advisors, technical specialists and industry partners, including CDMO and materials suppliers engaged in 2026.

Technology

Why the US comes first for Gen-2

Transdermal patches are used widely, but current technology suffers from adhesion failures, skin irritation and inconsistent delivery. These problems reduce treatment effectiveness and are drawing increased regulatory focus.

LORAI Health is building a next-generation transdermal platform using advanced materials, bioadhesive science and a proprietary 3D matrix architecture to improve adhesion, skin compatibility and drug delivery. We are launching this platform first in menopause hormone therapy before expanding into broader prescription and consumer health markets.

  • Largest addressable MHT market, with a clear FDA 505(b)(2) pathway
  • Telehealth and digital pharmacy channels already at scale
  • Access to materials, adhesives and CDMO expertise in the Delaware science corridor
